CAILO Connect is an app and web portal that connects to your Tesla and keeps a complete, automatic record of how you use it: every trip, every charging session and every kilometre. Sort trips into business or personal, see what your charging costs, pin receipts to the trips they belong to, and export a PDF or spreadsheet for any period. There is nothing to install in the car.
CAILO Connect reads your car’s data through Tesla’s official Fleet API. It records every trip with route, distance, duration, energy used, start and end odometer, and the stretches driven on FSD (Supervised). It records every charging session with energy added, charging power, time and cost. The live view shows location, battery and range, doors and locks, climate, Sentry Mode and tyre pressures, and updates every few seconds while the car is driving or charging.
No. There is no device in the car, no dongle in the diagnostic port, and nothing to wire in. You also don’t need to carry or keep your phone in the car for CAILO Connect to work. Unlike other logbook apps that rely on your mobile phone’s GPS to capture trips, CAILO Connect pulls the data straight from your Tesla through the official Tesla Fleet API. You sign in with Tesla, approve CAILO’s virtual key in the Tesla app, and your trips and charging sessions start recording themselves.
CAILO Connect connects through the official Tesla Fleet API. There is no hardware to install, no OBD dongles or hardwired devices, and no modifications to your vehicle. Unlike other logbook or tracking apps, CAILO Connect does not rely on your mobile phone's GPS or require your phone to be in the car. The data comes straight from your Tesla. You simply authorise CAILO Connect with your Tesla account, and data flows automatically.
You sign in on Tesla’s own page, so CAILO never sees your Tesla password, and you can revoke access from your Tesla account at any time. Your CAILO account offers two-step sign-in with any authenticator app, a Face ID or fingerprint lock in the app, and a list of every signed-in device that you can sign out. Receipt files are encrypted before they’re stored, and CAILO is hosted in Australia.
Live: location, speed, battery level and range, charging status, doors and locks, cabin and outside temperature, Sentry Mode, tyre pressures, odometer and software version. Recorded: every trip with its route, distance, energy used and odometer readings, every charging session with energy added, a charge curve and the cost, and your FSD (Supervised) percentage trends across any period you choose, not just by month.
CAILO Connect supports all Tesla models that are compatible with the Tesla Fleet API, including Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, Model Y L, and Cybertruck. As Tesla expands API support, CAILO Connect automatically gains access to new models.
No. CAILO Connect is a cloud-based, read-only integration that uses Tesla's official Fleet API. It does not install anything on your vehicle, does not modify any systems, and has no impact on your warranty or battery life.
You can log into the CAILO Connect portal or app at any time to check your vehicle's connection status. You can also verify connectivity directly from your Tesla by tapping the touchscreen console. Navigate to Settings and look for third-party connection details under the vehicle's data sharing preferences.
CAILO Connect connects to your Tesla through the official Fleet API. Every trip, charging session, and vehicle event is captured automatically in the cloud. At the completion of every trip you are notified to classify the trip or you can set and forget frequent trips. Then, you drive as normal and CAILO Connect records everything.
CAILO Connect captures the data points commonly recorded in a vehicle logbook: trip dates, start and end locations, distances, and odometer readings. The data is captured automatically from your Tesla’s telemetry, producing records that are more complete and accurate than any manual logbook. CAILO Connect records every trip continuously, including across a 12-week logbook period and beyond. CAILO Connect is a record-keeping tool, not tax or financial advice. We recommend confirming your specific situation with your accountant or tax agent.
Yes. Swipe a trip business or personal in the app, or classify a batch at once on the web. Business trips carry a purpose you choose, such as Client visit, and a saved place can classify the trips that end there for you. The trips report shows business use as a share of recorded distance.
A trip-by-trip record with the date, start and end address, distance, duration, start and end odometer, and the purpose you recorded, as a PDF or a CSV spreadsheet (it opens in Excel) for any period. Your tax agent decides how to use it.
Trip reports and charging reports as PDF or CSV for any date range, a receipts spreadsheet, and a one-zip download of everything, receipt images included. On the web, an export contains exactly what you have filtered on screen.
Yes. CAILO Connect works the same however you own or lease the car. It gives you odometer readings and home charging figures, in kWh and dollars, for whatever period your provider asks about.
No. CAILO records what your car did and you decide how to use the records. A registered tax agent can tell you what applies to you.
Yes. Every charging session is recorded with the energy added (kWh), how long it took and how fast it charged. Tell CAILO what you pay per kWh at home, including peak and off-peak rates, and each home session is priced for you. Supercharger sessions show what Tesla billed, with the invoice PDF. Where a cost isn’t known, CAILO says not recorded rather than showing $0.00.
Most mileage apps need you to check in at the start and end of every trip. They miss the trips you forget to log. CAILO Connect connects to your Tesla directly through the Tesla Fleet API, so every trip is captured automatically with detail (battery state, charging sessions, full route data) no phone-based app can match.
CAILO Connect maintains the connection to Tesla’s Fleet API as part of the service. When Tesla changes things, we update on our end. Your records keep flowing.
CAILO is hosted in Australia. Your data belongs to you: download all of it, receipt images included, whenever you like, or delete your account yourself from the app or the web. After a subscription ends we keep your data for a year, so you can come back or take a copy.

HW4 (Hardware 4) Teslas on recent firmware (2025.44.25.5 or later), with FSD (Supervised) enabled. HW3 cars and cars without FSD do not report the FSD counter.
No. CAILO Connect tracks FSD (Supervised) only. Autopilot and Enhanced Autopilot are not counted.
The figures move in steps of about 1.6 km, so short trips may show 0 or round up. Shares are approximate, from what the car reports.
No. Your FSD (Supervised) record starts the day you connect your Tesla to CAILO Connect. From then on, every month is kept.
Both. The web portal has the deepest analysis (map, speed chart, car story, all cars view, spreadsheet export). The iPhone and Android apps show this month’s share for each car on the home screen, with one tap to each car’s story.
No. FSD (Supervised) tracking is included in the $16 AUD per vehicle per month CAILO Connect subscription. There are no feature tiers.
No. CAILO Connect shows how much of your driving was on FSD (Supervised). It doesn’t show interventions, and it doesn’t rate how anyone drove.
NEWNo. Your Tesla reports its FSD (Supervised) distance and CAILO Connect matches it to each trip. There’s nothing to start or stop.
NEWYes. A valid credit card is required to start your 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
Your first payment will be charged automatically at the end of your 7-day free trial, unless you cancel before the trial ends. The first charge covers your first month of access, paid upfront.
We take a card at the start so your car never stops recording. You’re not charged during the 7-day trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends. If you don’t cancel, your subscription begins on day eight with no gap in your records.
Yes. We’ll send you a reminder email before your trial ends so you have time to decide whether you’d like to continue.
Yes. You can cancel any time during your 7-day free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
If you do not cancel before the end of your 7-day free trial, your subscription will automatically begin and your nominated credit card will be charged for the first month upfront.
Yes. Cancel any time from your account settings, with no cancellation fees or contracts. Your service continues until the end of your current billing period, and we keep your data for 30 days after your subscription ends, with reminder emails 7 days and 2 days before deletion so you can download anything you need.
When you cancel, your subscription will not renew again. You will continue to have access to CAILO Connect until the end of the period you have already paid for.
We do not provide refunds for unused portions of a billing period. If you cancel, you will retain access until the end of your current paid month.
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Your nominated credit card will be charged each month unless you cancel before your next billing date.
Yes. You can update your payment details through your account settings on desktop. Otherwise, you can do this through the app stores where you subscribed to CAILO Connect.
If a payment fails, we may ask you to update your payment details. Access to CAILO Connect may be paused or cancelled if payment is not successfully received.
CAILO Connect is priced at $16 AUD per vehicle per month. If you subscribe through the web portal, you’ll be billed $16 AUD on your card, and your card provider converts it to your local currency at that day’s exchange rate. If you subscribe through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you’ll see your local currency price at checkout, set by the store’s built-in pricing tier that matches the $16 AUD base. Either way, the base price is $16 AUD, and the amount you see in your local currency may vary slightly as exchange rates move.
