# CAILO Connect > CAILO Connect is an automatic trip logbook for Tesla, recorded by the car. Trips, business or personal classification, charging costs, receipts and PDF or CSV reports, for Australian Tesla owners. Available on Google Play, with the iOS app coming soon. CAILO Connect is built by CAILO PTY LTD, an independent Australian company. The product is focused on Tesla owners: sole traders, people who drive for work, and small businesses with up to five Teslas. ## Overview CAILO Connect is an app and web portal that connects to a Tesla through Tesla's official Fleet API. There is nothing to install in the car. Every trip and charging session records itself, even when the owner's phone is flat or at home. Setup takes minutes. Here is what is new in CAILO Connect this month. - [Tesla Fleet API: a plain-English explainer](https://cailo.io/insights/tesla-fleet-api-explainer): What it is, what it does, and why it means you never need to install a dongle in your Tesla. ## What it does - Trips record themselves from the car: route, distance, duration, energy used, start and end odometer. - Business or personal classification: swipe in the app, bulk classify on the web, saved purposes and tags. - Saved places: trips that end at a named place can classify themselves. - Charging sessions priced at the owner's own tariff, including peak and off-peak windows. Supercharger sessions show what Tesla billed, with the invoice PDF. - Receipts (photo or PDF) pinned to trips and charging sessions. Amounts are entered by hand. - PDF and CSV reports for any period, and a one-zip download of everything. - Live view: location, battery and range, doors and locks, climate, Sentry Mode, tyre pressures. CAILO shows the car; it never controls it. - FSD (Supervised) tracking: every trip shows how far it drove on FSD (Supervised), with those stretches on the map; every car gets its own story and every month is kept. HW4 Teslas on recent firmware only; figures are approximate. - People: invite up to five people, each with their own login and only the cars they are given. CAILO records what the car did. Other makes are not supported today; CAILO Drive, for other makes, has a waitlist. ## How it connects The owner signs in with Tesla on Tesla's own page, so CAILO never sees the Tesla password, then approves CAILO's virtual key in the Tesla app. There is no hardware to install, no OBD dongle, and no modifications to the vehicle. Access can be revoked from the Tesla account at any time. ## Company CAILO PTY LTD is a small, independently owned Australian software company, hosted in Australia.
